Abstract

SUMMARY To create criteria for the activities involved in offshore software development, this paper proposes a method to visualize the status of an organization. The basic premises in this research are that there are 12 capabilities and each capability has five levels. First, this paper introduces a knowledge management system called SPICE, which has a visualization function. The function includes the growth path of an individual, the growth path of a group, and a dependency structure. Then, to explain the use of method in the realm of offshore software development, this paper describes an experimental analysis and the accompanying visualization.
