An epizootic of chilodonelliasis in farmed barramundi Lates calcarifer (Bloch), a case report.

This article describes an acute disease epizootic of chilodonelliasis in cultured barramundi in north-eastern Australia, resulting from infection with Chilodonella hexasticha. It discusses histopathology, parasitology and bacteriology examinations performed on the affected fish, and morphometric studies of the parasite confirmed the causative agent as Chilodonella hexasticha.
