Abstract
- The article looks at the reactions of residents in Erfurt, Germany, a predominantly white city, to the growing number of primarily Syrian and Muslim migrants arriving in the city. Information is provided on the large number of refugees and asylum seekers expected to enter Germany through the end of 2015. Details are included on the housing and education services offered to migrants as well as the mixture of concern and empathy displayed by Germans in Erfurt.
