Abstract
- The authors discuss the temperature of the inhaled gas for ventilated asphyxiated newborns on therapeutic hypothermia. They say that providing the inhaled gas at 37° Celsius (C) may cause water condensation, while providing the inhaled gas at 35°C may cause a decrease in humidity of the inspired gases and may lead to increase in mortality. They mention the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Fetus and Newborn's recommendations on therapeutic hypothermia.
