Abstract
- A model for a chiral material in which both the permittivity and permeability are equal to zero is discussed. Such a material is referred by us as a g on what level of spatial aggregation is employed. This note combines a multivariate extension of earlier bivariate, ordinal analyses (Thompson, 1972, 1975) conducted at the world level with a comparative examination of Latin American and sub-Saharan African data. The outcome indicates that regional aggregations do provide stronger support for regime vulnerability hypotheses than do world aggregations but that the amount of variance accounted for by the indirect variables encompassed by regime vulnerability arguments continues to leave much to be explained.
