Gender-Based Violence and HIV in Rwanda: Respecting Women's Voices.

The author describes examples showing the types of initiatives that will be required to address the human rights of women living with HIV worldwide. Topics discussed include a survey of women with HIV attending the WE-ACTx clinic in Kigali, Rwanda regarding intimate partner violence experienced since the 1994 genocide and the twice monthly young mothers support group started by the WE-ACTx in 2011 to better address the need of young single mothers with HIV.
