Abstract
- This article presents abstracts of papers to be presented at the 37th Annual Meeting of the Society for Psychophysiological Research to be held October 15-19, 1997. In informs that mismatch negativity is an event-related potential elicited by deviant sounds occurring in a sequence of repeating sounds. The phonological mismatch negativity is an event-related potential component that has been shown in several studies to be sensitive to the initial phoneme of a word that ends a spoken sentence incongruously or congruously but unexpectedly.
