Abstract: A class of monoorganoimido-substituted hexamolybdates containing a pyridine group have been firstly synthesized. Furthermore, a reaction protocol of alkylation based on the resulting pyridine-functionalized hexamolybdates has been developed, with which a type of zwitterionic clusters has been successfully obtained.
