Abstract

Drinking the cultural heritage in our time is to defend the identity and closer to the pedagogical practice is crucial especially for law students, lawgivers, who inspire the approach of this paper. It is intention to expose the essential aspects relate to the Island of Cuba with one of the most important events in Spain in XIX century, marking the Spanish liberalism and its influence on the overseas provinces, that is why it pretend give a point of view about the contents of Spanish Constitution of 1812, over two hundred years of its proclamation, in terms of education. Also it talks about the projection of Felix Varela as a precursor of liberating thought, his participation in the Spanish Court during the period between 1821 and 1823 valuations development of higher education in the nineteenth century are included because of their importance in publiceducation and politics of the time.This groundhelps to understandthe roots of liberating thought and their needs for the transformation of higher education on a scientific basis. Methodology used was based on the documental review and the analysis of content such as technique of qualitative nature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
