Abstract
- The article discusses an area of urological nursing namely intermittent catheterisation (IC) particularly the selection of catheters for IC where evidence-based practice and patient choice are lacking. It cites the Mult/Cath research programme whose aim is to produce robust evidence as to whether mixed use of catheter is safe, acceptable and cost effective, scope the potential for increasing choice for patients and identify areas for innovation in intermittent catheters.
