Relationship between variations in the rotation velocity of the Earth and its seismic activity.

It is shown that, for the low-frequency component of the time series in the angular velocity of the Earth's rotation, the maximums of seismic activity correspond to the final stages of decrease in the angular velocity of rotation (deceleration) and the local minimums coincide with maximums of seismic activity.
