Young Migrants Reach Europe Alone and Afraid.

The article looks at unaccompanied minors who have fled to Europe from the Middle East and Africa. According to the author, many of these children are teenage boys whose parents have been murdered or were too poor to pay smugglers' fees for their whole family. Details on the abuse of unaccompanied minor refugees and on services provided to them by European governments are presented. Efforts to contact refugees' families are also discussed.
