- The article states that San Francisco, California, mobile payments startup firm Square Inc., led by chief executive officer (CEO) Jack Dorsey, was seeking a valuation of about $3.9 billion as of early November 2015, significantly less than the $6 billion valuation of the firm from the previous year. According to the article, Square expected to sell 27 million shares of stock at between $11 and $13 each during an initial public offering (IPO).
