Abstract

The article discusses the French President François Hollande's address to the French Parliament seeking an extension of France's state of emergency and constitutional amendments allowing for police raids without warrants, within the context of the November 13, 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, France. An overview of the terrorism investigation of the Belgian suspect Abdelhamid Abaaoud, including in regard his relationship with the terrorist organization the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS, or ISIL), is provided.
