Abstract

The article states that three teams of attackers from the militant organization Islamic State carried out simultaneous terrorist acts in Paris, France, on November 13, 2015. According to the article, French president François Hollande described the attacks as an act of war and said that France would retaliate. The article states that one of the alleged assailants may have entered Europe with a Syrian passport and that arrests of suspects were made in Belgium. It also discusses French participation in a military air campaign in Syria against Islamic State.
