Der christliche Identitätsdiskurs im spätantiken Römischen Reich: Griechischer Osten und lateinischer Westen in komparatistischer Perspektive.

The article evaluates the identity discourse involving Christians in the Latin West and Greek East during the Roman Empire. Topics covered include the real conflicts between the adherents of Christian religion and pagans in the Roman Empire as well as the similarities in the beliefs of Christians and non-Christians. Also mentioned are the discrepancies in the culture of the western and eastern part of the empire and the conflicts between the people in Rome, Italy and some German ethnic groups.
