Abstract

The article offers the author's insight on the importance of giving compassionate care with the patients. Topics discussed include the author's experience of aiding his patient diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), the responsibilities of a social worker, and emotional attachment of social workers to their patients.
