Abstract

In this article, the author discusses investigative journalism in Africa, totalitarian system of the government to punish journalist and work of Ghanaian investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas. He refers that a newspaper "The Pioneer" was closed down in 1962 due to be a main opposition paper during the regime of Ghana's President Kwame Nkrumah during 1957-1966. He also mentions work of Aremeyaw Anas in disguise and exploits psychiatric hospital in Accra, Ghana on abuse of mental patients.
