Abstract: An essay on the indigenous knowledge and practice for the prevention and reduction of enmity in the modern world is presented. It presents four ethnographically observed areas which include values and norms, definitions of identity, and rituals. It also suggests that the essay does not advocate any of these observations for conflict-prevention or resolution mechanisms.
