“Diversity Matters” in Communication Education.

The essay discusses the conceptual foundation of difference matters in the scholarship on instructional communication in the U.S. It describes the problematic nature of a body of literature that ignores and marginalizes the epistemology which concerns with cultural diversity and perspectives in communication education research. The need of scholars to foster perspectives in communication education research through innovative scholarship is also explained.
