Abstract

The information of this paper was obtained through a statistical survey to 400 families. This was from a total of 2,335 families in five locations in the State of Yucatán, geographically located in different regions. The results presents that cultivated in milpa and backyard provide 63.7 % average of food, one community results self-sufficient (119.1 %) instead of agricultural diversity index. The main factors that affect the food access are distance to market, father age and education, size of the family, income and agricultural diversity index. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
