The Research Data Centre Programme in Canada: a holistic approach to evidence-based research to inform public policy.

This paper discusses Canada's response to the challenge of informing public social policy. A task force was established to assess the barriers that needed to be overcome in order to meet the challenges; Description of how the Canadian social science research community responded is presented.
