Coherent control of single-photon scattering in a T-shaped waveguide by a single photon.

Abstract
- We have investigated the single-photon transport property in a T-shaped coupled-resonant waveguide (CRW), which consists of an infinite CRW and a semi-infinite CRW, coupled to a cascaded three-level emitter. A-mode cavity field is introduced to drive the one transition of the cascaded three-level system. Two cases that a single photon is incident from the infinite CRW and semi-infinite CRW are considered, respectively. We obtain the transmission, reflection and transfer amplitudes analytically and our results show that the transmission, reflection and transfer rates can be controlled by adjusting the detuning and coupling strengths between themode cavity field and one transition of the three-level system. Our study provides a full quantum control scheme of single-photon transport properties in a T-shaped waveguide. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
