Abstract: The article presents a case study of a 75-year-old man with complaints of abrupt onset of dyspnea during sleep. A presumed diagnosis of acute heart failure was made and he was administered intravenously with supplemental oxygen via a facemask. The article discusses changes in the amplitude of the systolic click and diastolic extra sound over the clinical course, and the additional heart sound during early diastole.
