Los nuevos discursos, normativas y prácticas sobre educación superior en la República del Ecuador: los énfasis en investigación e innovación.

This paper deals with the stages of development of higher education in the Republic of Ecuador, with emphasis on his latest period of development and guiding the focus of critical attention to the conditions that have developed over the past two decades to advance university research and innovation. For its development the authors draw on aspects of speech that has been developed in government structures and academia, elements of the legislation that has been established, as well as practical aspects and show the development of scientific and innovative activity in the Ecuadorian universities. It can be said that the objective of this article is to provide an overview of the development of higher education in Ecuadorian universities, with emphasis on its role in research and innovation.
