Scientific libraries need to develop new initiatives to ensure that their users successfully utilize today's possibilities of information and knowledge management as well as information analyses. New formats beyond the traditional library educational activities are required. In addition to the Coffee Lectures, the Chemistry | Biology | Pharmacy Information Center has developed the format of Research Group Menu Seminars, a modular concept for Continuing Professional Education in a menu card style.
