Abstract

The article discusses the case of an 80-year-old man with a history of Immunoglobulin A (IgA) monoclonal gammopathy, who presented with a ulcerative lesion on his right knee. and was diagnosed with pyoderma gangrenosum based on negative tissue cultures, characteristic pain, and clinical appearance. Topics discussed include common presentation of pyoderma gangrenosum as inflammatory nodule or pustule that enlarges and ulcerates, and wound exacerbated by mechanical or chemical trauma.
