Abstract

Under the veins of Critical Theory of Recognition is analyzed figures from the Mixteca Alta rituals: the chaa tatna, "who knows how to heal" and chaa tasi, "which can bewitch". The description of the scenes that draw the acquisition and transmission of their gifts become the study universe. This white paper states that in ritual specialists, the specificity of each other is in the process of collective knowledge that establishes them. Its recognition is forged not only in the techniques and ideas that stigmatize those who do "well" or that promote the "bad". Instead, this is where specialists develop relationships with themselves and with the community. That is, the mutual recognition is given to the type of relationship that is established and named it names. Under this duo, it is established that chaa tatna and chaa tasi recognize themselves in their initiatory experiences and what is said about them. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
