Abstract: The article focuses on single winding bearingless switched reluctance motors and its potential use for energy storage. It describes switched reluctance motors, noting the change of the motor design from outer stator and inner rotor to inner stator and outer rotor. It mentions the advantages of the developed flywheels as energy storage systems as well as recommends a suspension force modelling method based on the Maxwell tensor method.
