DO FOLHETIM AO LIVRO: A REESCRITA DE UM CONTO DE MARQUES DE CARVALHO.

João Marques de Carvalho was a politician, diplomat, journalist and writer from Pará. Although disclose part of his fictional production in books, he left several novels, short stories and poems scattered throughout the belenense journalistic press in the late nineteenth century. On December 25, 1885, first published in the newspaper A Província do Pará (The Province of Pará), feuilleton column, the short story "Que bom marido!" (What good husband!), in a single fascicle. In 1889, the author relaunched it in the book Contos Paraenses (Tales of Pará). Transposed it from the pages of the newspaper to the pages of the book, we realize that Marques de Carvalho made several changes in the textual narrative structure, using some rewriting procedures, such as substitutions, deletions, insertions and reconstructions. Considering these changes were not free or random, we aim to demonstrate in this study that Marques de Carvalho made textual changes in the narrative structure aiming to insert it into the naturalism aesthetic.
