Abstract

High-quality CsPbBr3 quantum dots are prepared by hot-injection of cesium stearate into a mixture of octadecene, oleylamine, oleic acid, and PbBr2 at 170 °C. The luminescence wavelength of the quantum dots is tuned by varying both the size of the quantum dots and the halide composition. Blue, green, and yellow LEDs based on all-inorganic CsPbX3 (X: Cl, Br, I) quantum dots exhibit luminances of 528--946 cd/m² with external quantum efficiencies of 0.07--0.12%. CsPbX3 quantum dots have great potential in a wide variety of optoelectronics such as lighting, displays, monochromatic narrowband photodetectors, solar cells, and lasers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
