Abstract

The article reports on an increase in the number of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks in cloud services provider Akamai Technologies during the first quarter of 2016. Topics mentioned include a decline in the average DDoS attack duration from the first quarter of 2015 to 2016, the largest DDoS reported attack in Akamai in the first quarter of 2016, and China as the top source for DDoS attacks.
