Abstract
- The article reflects upon women artists, focusing upon how the topic can be examined in the art classroom. Particular focus is given to the painting "Self-portrait with Yellow Lilies," by Natalia Goncharova. Additional topics discussed include the sale of the 1909 painting "Picking Apples," by Goncharova, the Russian avant-garde art movement and Goncharova's work as an illustrator, writer and costume designer.
