Abstract
- In this issue of Developmental Cell , Isabella and Horne-Badovinac (2016) show that Rab10 directs site-specific secretion of basement membrane components, which assemble into fibrils that spool out to elongate the Drosophila egg chamber. These findings establish the basement membrane’s active role in tissue sculpting. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
