SowiDataNet is a research data infrastructure under construction for social sciences and economics. Its central element is the development of a webbased research data repository which allows researchers to document, publish and share their data with other researchers in a secure and lasting way. The development of this new service is orientated towards the community's real needs which, amongst other things, is mirrored in the conduct of a detailed demand analysis.
