Abstract

The article discusses, from about #LadyProfeco case in Mexico, the hypothesis of the influence of framing that are putting social media on important public issues. The results of the analysis of the case give evidence against this hypothesis because despite the growth of social networking and visibility in the public agenda, 66.3% of the opinion that poured into hashtags and trending topics is produced by the journalists, political party activists and established professionals from the mainstream media.
