Abstract
- The article reports that the failure by the Canadian federal government to pass a measure governing assisted dying for the June 6 deadline gives doctors a free of threat of criminal prosecution. It states that the Bill C-14 would allow doctors, nurse practitioners and pharmacists to participate in assisted dying when asked by a competent adult who has a serious and incurable illness, disease or disability, for whom death is likely in the foreseeable future.
