Abstract

In this article, the authors analyzed FMS-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3), internal tandem duplication (ITD) related markers and CD135 and CD25, using flow cytometry. Topics discussed include FLT3 gene mutation found to determine acute myeloid leukemia (AML) prognosis and predict poor outcome; AML-related cytogenetic abnormalities detected in 31 patients; and no significant difference in CD135 or CD25 values across the genetic prognostic groups.
