Abstract

The article discusses the result of a survey conducted by "New York Times" newspaper and CBS News which found that 69 percent of Americans believe that race relations in the U.S. are generally bad. Topics covered include the percentage of Americans who think race relations are getting worse, racial discontent on the relations between African Americans and the police, and the percentage of African Americans who say the police make them feel more anxious than safe.
