Abstract
- The article reports that tools of terrorism are undergoing a drastic shift in the age of the Islamic State that has led to a reimagining of the common notion of who is and who is not a terrorist. The Bastille Day carnage in Nice, France, in which Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel slaughtered dozens of people by driving a truck, indicates that the spectrum of terrorism is widening and the Islamic State have broad appeal to the mentally unbalanced, the displaced and others on the fringes of society.
