Um lugarzinho para benefício das crianças: Lições homiléticas do século XIX.

This article will reflect on one of the forms of child participation in christian worship - as a listener of the sermon. To lead congregational meetings without ignoring children it's a challenge. Some christian communities have chosen to fragmenting the congregation at the time of the sermon, taking children out of the common area and directing them to a parallel worship service. In this paper, through bibliographic review, the homiletic concepts of Ellen White will be analyzed. She was a nineteenth-century writer who insisted on the inclusion and appreciation of children in the congregational worship, especially on the sermon. This article will reveal how the comments of Ellen White to the preachers in the nineteenth century can be considered contemporary, doing some intersections with current theological concepts as "narrative theology" and the "child theology movement".
