Abstract: The article focuses on a study which seeks to examine the therapeutic efficacy as well as safety of ultrasound-guided percutaneous bipolar radiofrequency ablation (BRFA) of benign thyroid nodules by comparison with a matched untreated control group. An overview of thyroid nodules and the application of RFA is presented.
