Abstract

This paper focuses for the first time on the static analysis of sandwich plates with functionally graded faces and homogeneous core by an nth-order shear deformation theory and meshless global collocation method. The meshless global collocation method approximates the solutions of governing differential equations based on the nth-order shear deformation theory using all nodes in the problem domain. The deflection and stress of a simply supported sandwich plates under sinusoidal load are calculated to verify the accuracy and efficiency of the present theory. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
