Abstract
- For the first time, sodium caprylate has been investigated to direct the crystal growth of 3D Ag-MOF, [Ag 2 (ddcba)(4,4′-bipy) 2 ] ( 1 ), constructing from 3,5-(di(2′,5′-dicarboxylphenyl)benozoic acid and 4,4′-bipy. The single crystal diffraction analyses shows that complex 1 possess 3D neutral framework with a three-connected ThSi 2 (10 3 -b) topology. Compound 1 exhibits predominant catalytic activity towards the degradation of o- Nitrophenol (ONP), m- Nitrophenol (MNP) and p- Nitrophenol (PNP) in aqueous solution. The kinetics of such catalytic degradation reactions was also studied. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
