Abstract

The presents a response to comments about a study which examined plant species that survived the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM). It references the study "Too Early and Too Northerly: Evidence of Temperate Trees in Northern Central Europe During the Younger Drays," by V. Robin et al. in the 2016 issue of New Physiologist." The variables considered include the fragments of Quercus and Fagus, the use of a pollen diagram containing Quercus, and the distribution of Quercus robur and Fagus sylvatica.
