Alternative Technology and Social Organisation in an Institutional Setting.

The article presents a description of ways where the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) pursued an altering vision of an alternative socio-technical culture in Great Britain. It discusses the evolution and nature of socio-technical culture of CAT in the areas of research and electricity supply. It explores the gradual pattern of reconciliation with mainstream technology and retreat from radical social practices.
