Luperon High left behind in sub-par facility.

Students at Gregorio Luperon High School for Science and Math in Washington Heights, New York City have received a boost from the borough president of Manhattan C. Virginia Fields in their plight to ease the over-crowded situation at the school, as of December 25, 2003. They were joined recently by Fields as they delivered thousands of signed petitions to Schools Chancellor Joel Klein urging him and Mayor Bloomberg give them a new site for their school. Fields said that the signatures on the petitions were indicative of how strongly the students, their parents and the community feel about the need for a new location for the school.
