Abstract

The article discusses the study on the major subtypes of obesity such as the general and the abdominal obesity which are known to be associated with chronic diabetes complications, like cardiovascular diseases and diabetic retinopathy. Topics discussed include the diabetic kidney disease (DKD), type 2 diabetes (T2D) patients assess through DXA, and the parameters of general obesity such as body mass index (BMI), total body fat percentage(TBF), and fat mass index (FMI).
