Abstract

In this paper, we report a comparative study of rare-earth (RE = Y, Nd, Ce, and La) ions substituted Bi 1−x−y Sr x RE y FeO 3 (BSRFO) at y = 0.03 and x = 0.4 nanomultiferroic system. The samples were successfully synthesized using flash autocombustion reaction. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that, the crystal structure is rhombohedral and hexagonal grain growth habit is seen by SEM microstructure. The doping of RE improved the magnetic properties specially Y 3+ and Nd 3+ ions. We argue that the addition of RE is likely to suppress the spiral spin modulation and at the same time increase the canting angle which favors the enhanced ferromagnetism behavior in different applications.
