L'ATTUALITÀ E L'URGENZA DEL PREVENIRE.

Taking as its starting point from the publication: Educare è prevenire. Proposte per educatori (To Educate is to Prevent. Proposals for Educators), the article offers some points to enrich the debate on the pedagogical concept of prevention. The author highlights how the specific field of preventive action is really that of difficult youth as well as young people at risk. It is precisely for these young people that the Salesian education shows greater efficacy over the repressive strategies. Prevention, inspired by Don Bosco, takes on a pedagogical prospects, integrating it with Christian anthropology which sees the person within God's project, created in His image and likeness. The educational relationship, in this perspective, becomes the generating nucleus of the preventive pedagogy and the place where this can best expressed in all of its strength. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
